Carin recording features
Highly scalable recording engine
Our 4th generation recording engine supports 180 concurrent calls on commodity servers with RAID disks and Dual Pentium 4 processors. With this performance CARIN is a leader in the VoIP call recorder market. Larger systems can be built using multiple recording servers.
Best sound quality
The quality of the recordings is much better with CARIN compared to analogue or other call logging facilities (e.g. MP3 format which is not optimized for speach recording). The reason is simple: by recording the original digital signals no noise is incorporated during recording. Moreover, for long term storage, CARIN utilizes best-of-class, compression algorithms specially designed for speech (codecs), which are able to dramatically reduce file size, while the quality of the voice is maintained.
Multiple recording modes
CARIN supports the following recording modes:
- Full – All calls are recorded for monitored extensions.
- Selective — Only preconfigured extensions are recorded. Configuration is available through the web-based user interface.
- On-demand — Every call is recorded, but unnecessary calls are deleted. Users can mark a call at any time during the call nevertheless the full length of the call is stored.
